We’re Here To Help

Housing Assitance Resources

At Westford Arms Realty we care about our tenants, so we have compiled some resources that offer different types of assistance in the community.

“At Community Teamwork we work with people wherever they are on the continuum of need for housing security, from struggling to meet basic rental and utility expenses to facing homelessness and even to supporting people who are ready to achieve homeownership.  We also help build a more robust base of affordable housing units through partnerships with local cities and towns.”

“If you’re out of work and able to work, you may be eligible for temporary income called unemployment insurance (UI). If you qualify, you receive weekly payments to help cover your living expenses while you search for new employment. The amount you receive is based on what you were paid in the last year. The UI program for Massachusetts is managed by the Department of Unemployment Assistance (DUA).”

The Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP) helps families with low income by paying part of their rent. If you qualify, you'll receive a voucher to pay part of your rent. You'll have a limited time to find a rental home anywhere in the country. You can also choose to stay in your current rental home if it meets the program's requirements.

HomeBASE helps families who are eligible for EA Emergency Family Shelter find stable housing. HomeBASE helps families who have been found eligible for EA Family Shelter by providing up to $30,000 over a 2-year period, with the possibility of a 3rd year of help. If your family is found eligible for the EA Family Shelter program, you may be invited to apply.

The Residential Assistance for Families in Transition (RAFT) program provides short-term emergency funding to help you with eviction, foreclosure, loss of utilities, and other housing emergencies.
